This past March, École-O-Champ (EOC) was appointed as the new Provincial Member of Agriculture in the Classroom Canada (AITC-C). Co-founder and President, Mathieu Rouleau will join AITC-C as a member of the board of directors. AITC-C represents ten provincial organisations committed to teaching agriculture in schools in their respective provinces.

This greatly benefits our schools and Quebec’s education system » , said EOC Co-founder and President Mathieu Rouleau. « EOC was built by students in agricultural and environmental sciences who noticed the huge gap between the consumer and the producer. Bringing people closer to their food system has become our mission ! » , he continues.

« The COVID-19 pandemic once again highlights that our vision of Quebec classes must change ! We need to get young people outside and use the environment, agriculture and nutrition as learning channels to tackle school subjects. At EOC, our programs offer young people practical and fun educational activities, in which we also involve families ».
